Sharpes is one of the region’s leading and most trusted auctioneers. Over the past 45 years, we have built a reputation for our efficient sales process and outstanding customer service.
We established in 1976, initially as an estate agent. It wasn’t until 1995 that we became property auctioneers. When our doors first opened as an auction house, it gave people another option. A way that they could unburden themselves of the stress of selling and still walk away with a fair value for their home. All this was possible with the speed and certainty of sale through the traditional auction platform.
Since then, our services and technology have expanded, and we now work in both commercial and residential spaces. We can list anything from offices to land with great success.
Although we still offer traditional auctions where the sale completes within 7-28 days, we also now offer the modern method of auction. This works identical to its traditional counterpart, but it gives 28 days to exchange contracts and 56 days to complete the sale entirely. By allowing buyers more time to complete, modern method of action broadens the market to both potential first-time buyers and mortgage purchasers.
